Supernatural Provision

 Scripture:

1 Kings 17: 2-6

And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get the hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. So he went and did according unto the Word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

The Good LORD wants to provide all our needs and, even our wants; He is interested in granting us the desires of our hearts.

First of all, God wants us to trust Him for our daily provision. He doesn't want to be relegated to the background as regards supplies and provision. He is delighted when we trust Him to provide all that we need at every given point in time. But sometimes, we tend to look to ourselves and try to work things out by our limited abilities for our sustenance.

Scripture says in Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. And so, we must trust and believe in God to provide all our needs.

Not your bank account, or your monthly or weekly pay check. But God and His ability to care for you and your family. Even when it seems as if there's no way out, He will surely show up for you. Psalm 23, says The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.

What does a shepherd do in the natural sense? He guides the sheep to green pastures where they can graze and be fed daily. He also guides the sheep to where they can drink water and lie down in peace and rest. In the same vein, God takes care of His own sheep ( you and I who believe in Him), and leads and guides us to where we can find provision daily, weekly or monthly, in our workplace and marketplace as business or career people. He leads you to the right clients or customers and vice versa.

This can be seen from our opening scripture in the case if Elijah. After he had pronounced judgement on the land of Israel because of their idolatrous activities, and had declared no rain and God hearkened to his voice and shut up the heavens, The LORD directed him to the brook Cherith where he could drink water and also commanded the ravens to feed him there. What an irony! That the most selfish bird on earth is what God used to sustain Elijah during the famine!

Beloved, there's nothing too hard for God Almighty to do. He can meet you at the point of your need at any time,  and He can use any means necessary to do it. All you have to do is keep your eyes on Him and not the world economy or the economic state of your country.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you today with my heart laden with the burden of financial supplies and provisions. I know that You are able to supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Lord, please forgive me for the times I have doubted Your ability to provide for me, and have tried to rescue myself from every financial strain I have been experiencing.

I come to You with a renewed sense of hope and trust, that You are able to bring me out of every financial lack and scarcity,  even in this season, trusting You alone for my daily provision from now on, and doubting nothing in Jesus Name, I pray, Amen.

Be Faithful!

 Scripture

Proverbs 28:20

A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

The world today is steeped in all manner of wickedness and this stems from the fact that the love of many has waxed cold, and the love of money has replaced the love of God and man. But this is not what God commanded in the Bible.

Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-39,Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and the greatest commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

This scripture sums it all: the duty of man on the earth. When we can love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength; then love yourself and not compare yourself to others or be in firece competition with your neighbor, but rather love your neighbor as you love yourself, then you are faithful to God, and His commandments and  laws. And when we obey His commandments, we will abound with His blessings over our lives and our families!

When we walk in love,  we won't intentionally hurt or steal, gossip, backbite or falsely accuse others just to get ahead. When we love others, we won't kidnap, kill or destroy others just because of money. As the opening scripture has read, the faithful man will abound with God's blessings but he who is hasty to be rich will not be innocent. This means if one is not willing and obedient to God and His word, he or she will stray from the path of righteousness and end up on the path of evil and destruction!

So, therefore, let us remain faithful to Him Who has called us out of darkness and into His marvelous Light, and continue to show forth His praises. Hallelujah!

Prayer

Father LORD,

I thank you for your word to me today. Please help me walk in faithfulness and the paths of righteousness all my days, so I can faithfully abound with your blessings.

Veer me off the path of worldliness which leads to the love of money. Help me to keep my eyes on you, knowing that You will always provide and supply all my needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

Be Wise!

 Scripture:

Proverbs 4:7

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Looking around the world today, one sees the evidence of foolishness and you wonder how did the world become so foolish?

Scripture says in Psalm 14:1, The fool says in his heart, that there's no God. That's the foundation of foolishness. When a people decide to live a life without God at the center, and also believe that they were created by the universe or they don't believe in the existence of God, that's the height of chronic deception!

That's why humans can engage in dehumanizing acts like murder, terrorism, kidnapping, prostitution, occultism, witchcraft, and all manner of evil and wickedness! It's really alarming how some people have degenerated into uncanny acts of evil.

But the Bible says in Proverbs 9:10, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. This is the antidote to the foolishness and foolish acts we see around us!

When we surrender to God and His word, and walk in fear of Him, that is reverential fear, we are signing up for divine wisdom. Fear also gives way to knowledge, and finally understanding of who our God is, and understanding of God's will for our lives.

So, I admonish us to become wise today, by walking in the fear of the LORD and seeking His Face by prayer, praise and worship; and constant study and meditation of, and on His Word. And as we continue to do this, we begin to know Him deeply and understanding becomes inevitable. When one fears God, he or she abides by His word and principles, foolishness can and will have no place in them.

There are several examples in the Bible which attests to this fact. King Solomon was one of them. See 1Kings 3:3-14. Scripture records that Solomon loved the LORD, and God endowed him with His wisdom so much so, that he became the wisest king that ever lived in his time!

There's also an invitation to all who lack wisdom. The Bible says in James 1:5,  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. If you need wisdom in every or any area of your life right now, you can approach God's Throne of Grace, and it will be given to you liberally.

Prayer

Dear Father in Heaven,

I come to you with my request for wisdom. Please help me to walk in fear and reverence of You and Your Almightiness.

I am aware that without You, I can become very foolish according to Your Word which says, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. And so, I ask that You endow me with Your wisdom as I walk and live in reverential fear of You in Jesus' Matchless Name, I pray, Amen.

Casting Your Care Upon The Lord

 Scripture:

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

This scripture is an invitation to all who are weary, tired, fed up with certain situations or conditions of their life, and really just don't know what else to do anymore. And when you have reached your wits end and don't know what to do, then that's when God steps into the situation.

God wants to heal, protect, save and deliver you from life's chaos and troubles. He wants you to know, that He knows you by your name; He cares deeply about you and your wounds. He wants to heal your mind, soul and body. He wants you to be aware that He sees every tear you have ever cried; every pain you have felt pierce your heart, and every injustice you have had to go through in life.

He cares deeply about the times you had no food to eat, or when you had to sacrifice for others to get ahead inspite of little or nothing. He is aware, and He wants to heal and restore you right at this moment, as we speak.

The Bible says in Psalm 121:1-2, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help, My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

This is truth and fact at the same time. God has never been deaf, or far from hearing those who call upon Him. And He is never far from anyone who trusts in Him. I can attest to this, because I  too, I'm a living testimony of God's Mighty Help and Care!

So, as we reflect on this message today, let us roll over our burdens unto the LORD, no matter how many they are, and let us  cast our care upon Him,  because He really cares!

Prayer

Father LORD in heaven,

I come to you today trusting in your Love and Care for my life and destiny. I believe your Word in Matthew 11:28-30, when your Son Jesus Christ said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

LORD, let this truth resonate in my heart and mind, as I continually cast all my care and burdens upon you in Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen

Salvation Is Necessary

 Scripture

John 3:16:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The above scripture attests to the fact that anyone who believes in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, will be saved. Jesus himself declared in the next verse 17, For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

And that is precisely what Jesus did when he went to the cross and shed his blood for our redemption and the remission of our sins. He didn't come to condemn us rather he came so that by laying down his life for his sheep, we might be eternally delivered from the consequences of our sinful actions which initially led us to an eternal separation from God our Maker and Creator.

Jesus goes further to say in John 10:17-18,  Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Romans 10:9-10 puts it further this way, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

God loves us and wants everyone saved and that is why He sent His Son, Jesus to rescue us from sin, death and hell. Jesus willingly gave up everything in heaven above and came down to earth to lay down His life for you and I. We will never know and understand the pain He went through on that cross to save us, but we can accept His Love and the Life He went through hell to give us!

The question is, will you accept Him into your heart today?

Prayer

If you're ready to make Jesus the Lord of your life and accept Him into your heart, please say this prayer:

Father in heaven,

Thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ to die for me and save me from my sins, by dying on the cross at Calvary, and shedding his precious blood for my redemption.

Your word says in Romans 10:9-10, That if I confess Jesus as my Lord and believe in my heart that you raised him from the dead, I shall be saved.

I confess Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, and I strongly believe that You raised Him from the dead. Wash me clean with your precious blood that you shed on the cross, and please come into my heart to stay forever, in the matchless Name of Jesus, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer of salvation, look for a Bible believing church, and please attend church services so you can be built up with God's Word, so you can grow in grace and faith.

The Abundant Life In Christ Jesus

 Scripture

John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

These were the words of Jesus as he spoke to his disciples in the temple. He wanted them to grasp the fact that he had come to earth for the sake of restoring the eternal (Zoe) life of God that the first man, Adam lost in the Garden of Eden at the beginning of creation.

The first man lost to the devil by disobeying God's instruction as he ate the forbidden fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil. And by doing so, he handed over his authority to the enemy and died. Although, he didn't die immediately in the physical sense, spiritually he died instantly, as his sin separated him from God.

But thanks be unto God who has given us the victory (over sin, death, hell and the grave), through our Lord Jesus Christ. See 1 Corinthians 15:57.

By the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have been given back our eternal life. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me. See John 14:6.

We have been reconciled back to the Father as we believe in the Son, Jesus Christ and receive His abundant life.

Prayer

Father LORD, thank you for your revelation through your word to me today. I walk in this consciousness that I am not only redeemed by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, but I have also received the abundant life in Him.

I am therefore victorious in all things and at all times in every circumstance. Thank you for your mercies and grace in Jesus Name, I pray, Amen.

Peace In Trying Times

 Scripture:

John 16:33

These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world, ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Every day around the world, tribulation seems to take it's toll and most people even some believers in Christ Jesus have unresolved questions in their hearts as to whether the events leading up to the rapture of the church are actually here.

Despite the terror in these last days, we as Christians already have the answer in the above scripture. Jesus left these words to his disciples on the eve of his crucifixion, " but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world". In other words, Jesus Christ has assured them that even if He had to die on that cross, with His resurrection he has overcome the world and it's systems.

Jesus wasn't just speaking to His disciples alone, but prophetically and futuristically, He spoke these words to all who were going to believe in His death and resurrection, and by believing in Him were going to become children of God.

Therefore, as Christians, we have nothing to fear because we have been assured of God's love, Providence and protection until He returns back to the earth for His Bride- The Church!

Prayer

Father LORD, we come to you just as we are, trusting in your love, peace and protection for our lives. We know that your Word says, You will never leave us nor forsake us.

Thank you forever more for this assurance of Your manifold presence in our lives daily, helping us to walk in victory always as we continue to uphold Your Word in our lives in Jesus Name, Amen.
